A-1 and A-1

I know the commercials are dumb and all and they make it out to be so delicious that it would seem to be a sin not to savor every last drop but I must admit that A-1 steak sauce has got to be the tastiest steak sauce I've ever had. By the way, I'm done with drivers ed! Tomorrow I'm taking my road test and the next day I'm getting my license and after that I CAN DRIVE BY MYSELF!!!! Whoo-hoo! What are three things I should do during my first week with a license?

18 and A1

Well, I'm eighteen now. I'm also finally getting around to taking drivers ed. My plan is to go to A1 drivers ed every weekday over the next two and-a-half weeks and have my license by April 9th. Wish me luck!

Today (my first day) in A1 was lesson #6 "Alcohol, Drugs and Driving" *bleh* We had to watch an hour long video covering everything from people telling tragic stories about loved ones being killed by a drunk driver to humorous clips of drunks trying to say the ABC's ("A, b, c, d, e, f, g, l, m, n, o, jfk, rotflol, xyz, k." Yeah, that's how bad it was.)  to an autotopsy lab where they show the brains and livers of people who where killed the day before and the differences between the ones who drank and the ones who didn't. Needless to say, my stomach did flips that would make Jackie Chan jealous. I'm just glad that the worst came first and I won't need to go through that again.

Sterling Scholar

So, there's this huge education award done here in the state of Utah Called the Sterling Scholar award. It has 13 different educational categories and in the end, only 1 person from each category out of hundreds who try out for it from High Schools all across the state will be chosen for 1st place in that category. In other words, it's a big deal. And guess what! This year, Sarah F. made it into the finals in her category and took first place! AAAHHHHGGGG! Caiden and I went down to Salt Lake to watch the whole things and when they announced her as 1st we practically freaked out!!! And on top of that, because she got 1st, she can work at comp this year. WHOOHOO! If you can't tell, I'm ridiculously proud of her. She is one heck of a person! And this is just one of many evidences of that fact. GO SARAH! ! ! !

A Confession

I'm sorry for messing with you all, so I am going to confess-

There is this absolutely remarkable girl whom I love dearly.
Her name is Kayla Jannelle Lebaron.
She has long smooth brown hair. You know, the kind that started out bright blond until she was about 8 or 9 when it started darkening and is now a rich brown with lighter natural highlights.
She has a small cute nose. She's slender without being skinny. She isn't short but isn't tall. About 5' 6". She has a bright personality. Usually seen smiling but still able to express any emotions. She's sincere and genuine and none of it is ever an act, yet she can make an excellent actor. She is kind and caring, always going out of her way to help others but not to a fault. She doesn't give things away for the sake of giving things away or serve just to serve, but when she serves it is out of love for the person she is serving. She is a marvel when it comes to giving compliments without reserve. She is intelligent. She knows and studies in the arts, mainly in art and music and is good at them. She has a love for knowledge. She is sophisticated. Yet, she is also cultured. Cultured in our reality. She doesn't despise modern music because "it's all just bad" but is willing to see that much of it is good and can be used for good. She dances like a princess! She is spunky as I'll get out and has no problem voicing her opinion but never does so at another person's expense unless it is obviously in the name of fun. She isn't overbearing but she isn't quiet. She talks and makes herself heard when right but doesn't insist on everyone hearing everything she says without them getting a word in edgewise.
In essence, she is perfect! Yes, she has many imperfections. She has many quirks that can be annoying. She has a lot of downfalls. But to me, she is as near perfection as you can get.

Now, to any girls reading this:
These attributes that I stated are not the definition of a perfect young woman. You are all perfect in your own ways and one day you will meet a man who thinks of you in the way that think of Kayla. I honor and respect each and everyone of you more then you'll ever know and I will be so happy for each of you when you meet that certain someone and he loves you more then any other man could.

Now for the real confession:
Anyone who really knows me can tell you that I am a fairly secretive person. I do things for people that I almost never admit to having done and I rarely talk about my feelings for a person in places that they could possibly stumble upon it without knowing about those feelings before-hand. I would rather tell someone personally (in person, by letter, or by phone generally) about my feelings for them. So, why would I write all of this here on my blog where anyone could read it? Namely Kayla? Because she won't read this, and probably never will.
Why not? Because "I just haven't met [her] yet." (Sound familiar?)

Yes, that's right. Kayla Jannelle Lebaron is all in my mind. There is not a single girl on earth who I love in that kind of way, and until I return home from my mission, I don't want to meet that girl. And yet, love is a good thing and I still wish that there was a girl that I would just fall in love with. So, thus came into my life this angel named Kayla. A girl to love without loving a girl. Yes, I may just be crazy but I'm Carson. What else could you expect out of me?

So, if you were convinced that I was in love with some mystery girl, you were right... and wrong. I'm sorry if I any of you are now mad at me for deceiving you but you must understand that when you're in love, you just want to shout it out to the whole world. I just couldn't help myself. :)
